According to the world view of the Wixárika o Huichol people, the centre of the universe is located in Wirikuta, a sacred land where the sun was born and the world was created. Their deities and ancestral spirits inhabit it, so every natural element is equally sacred.

This indigenous people makes an annual pilgrimage to Wirikuta to rediscover its origins, ancestors and deities, ending with the hikuri ritual and the sacred “Hikuri Neixa” dance (the Peyote Dance).

The composition is inspired by the sensations and perceptions that surround this sacred desert, transformed into sound events that, among other aspects, are representative of the four elements of nature: fire, earth, water and air. Through these events and certain symbolic elements, a sound universe is built in which the natural and spiritual world coexist, merge, and become confused, giving expression to the mystic halo that envelops this magical place.
