This work refers to the scores in which the composer’s own notations acquire a special relevance. The pictorial character that the outlines in themselves display at times suggests an authentic musical gesture.

Thanks to electroacoustic techniques, I propose an exchange of sonorities extracted fundamentally from pianos with different provenances. The discourse merges and both the acoustic as well as electronic sound blur into different strata throughout the work. Trazo is dedicated to my teacher, Carmelo Bernaola.

Commissioned by the Quincena Musical, the work premiered on August 23, 98 at Auditorio Kursaal (San Sebastián) on the occasion of a tribute to composer Carmelo Bernaola.
